Wealth and Royalty

Happy Friday my prosperous peeps! Today I’m feeling a little rich In the spirit! Often we look at things in monetary value, when simply sometimes it’s not about how much we have it’s about how much faith we have! The color purple represents wealth and royalty I envisioned myself stepping through the gates of heaven draped in purple meeting our Heavenly Father! I did a little quad of things that I thought would look good on me in the color that I feel suits my vision today. When you dress, dress to impress! Wear things that improve you and your thinking! How we present ourselves make up a lot of our own and other peoples thoughts on us! We should attempt to dress our best even when we aren’t feeling so. Here’s my purple fashion for what I call faith Friday!!

Happy belated Thanksgiving beautiful friends!!! I hope you all enjoyed your day! Take a mental note daily on how blessed you are! When you begin to think negatively, think of all the other things that could possibly be wrong in your life; but God made them right! The thing is, yes things can be worse; but they aren’t! Thank God for the beauty in your life!!!

Loving unconditionally

Good afternoon! I watched Joel Osteen today and he preached on loving unconditionally! Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, you don’t know a persons situation, we aren’t perfect; give everyone a chance! It was a beautiful message! Then he gave a beautiful example of how a mother, a father and their 1 year old was out eating breakfast. The little boy kept smiling laughing, and playing and the mother didn’t know why! She finally saw the baby was so entertained by a man sitting a little ways from them. The man looked to be homeless, less fortunate, hair wasn’t combed his clothes weren’t clean…you get the point. The baby wouldn’t stop playing with the man across the room! The man even spoke loudly to the baby, saying hi! The mother and father tried to hurry and eat out of embarrassment! When they were finished the mother was at the register and was about to pay. The man so happened to be behind her, the baby reached for the man and eventually was held by the man. The baby laid his head on the mans shoulder, the man had dirty hands and all. The moral of the story is, the baby was so innocent and had an unconditional love for the man! Not judging him because of his appearance! Joel Osteen said we should aspire to be like that innocent baby! Loving unconditionally! Stop judging and start loving! Our world needs love, the people around us that we think have issues need love not judgement! I thought about my innocent daughter! She doesn’t judge me, she only knows the world as a happy place. She comes to me with open arms and embraces me as I am, flaws and all. That’s how we should be!
We all need love, let’s start loving and stop judging!

Who’s your God?

Hi there! Today I wanted to focus on the God in your life. So many of us has turned the focus of the one who is suppose to be our God, our savior, our mentor, our leader, our strength, our hero into someone who is not worthy of it. The king, our Heavenly Father should get all the worship and the praise for he is worthy. You wonder why your not happy? You wonder why you feel low, lonely, mistreated and used? The truth is because God is a jealous God and you are not giving him what he deserves! You should make him first. Stop devoting all your time, emotions, and cares on the one who mistreats you, and devote it to the creator! He is the one who can help you. Take time today to make it right for he is and should be your first love! How dare you forget that! We owe him everything; our hearts, our souls, all of us!! Make him your GOD!!! He is and always will be the one who will never fail you! Don’t make him jealous! Remember, when he is not #1 in our lives he gets jealous!

Love

I know I talked about love yesterday! Love has been all on my mind! This weekend I feel as if God has been showing me how blessed I really am. He’s teaching me how to love the people in my life. He’s teaching me that each loved one needs a certain amount of my attention and each individual needs something from me! Whether it’s a hey I love you, through a text, a hug, a card, conversation etc: I’m learning daily each persons needs and I’m praying that I be all that God has called me to be in everyone’s life that’s special to me. Here are 10 ways to love!!!

Oh how I love thee

When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he’s done for me, my soul cries out hallelujah, thank God for saving me! Today, I was granted the blessing of seeing truth! For a long time I questioned why I lost certain people in my life and why I had to let so many people go. Now at the age of 30 I’m finally truly understanding why that is. A very special person told me that they can’t go where your going. I didn’t get that then… But today I do! Today I spent time with the people who love me more than life, who value, and cherish, me. The people I can trust, and depend on, and who won’t ever betray or hate on me. My life isn’t perfect but it’s as perfect as life gets. It’s a life that was designed for me and me only. When I look back over my life and think things over… I can truly say that I’ve been blessed I have a testimony! I loooove my family each and every one of them. Each of them
hold a special and dear place in my heart, today I found who my soul truly loves! My Chicago family and my Florida family! I didn’t spend today with everyone but today I realized my soul loves you all; I know you all love me!

Robby’s home!

This is such a wonderful day, I am so excited to announce the arrival of my cousin’s baby Robert coming home. For those of you who don’t know, Robby was premature and was in the hospital since December; making that a total of six months! Yes, six months… Yesterday Robby was released to go home and be with his beautiful mommy and daddy. Jackie, (Robby’s mom) has been an absolute solider through out this journey. I couldn’t imagine having to face some of the challenges that her and Lorenzo (Robby’s dad) had to face. I commend her as a mom, she was strong, she had faith, courage, and distributed all the love a mommy could give to bring her beautiful baby home. You are an absolute Super-Mom Jackie, may you inspire other mothers out there like you. I am proud of you, your persistence, consistency, and drive is unfathomable. To never give up, and to keep going even when the going got tough, you are an ultimate mommy!!!

Here’s to you mommy!

“There is no way to be a perfect mother, and a million ways to be a good one.” Jill Churchill

“When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.” Sophia Loren

CONGRATULATIONS JACKIE & LORENZO!

Here’s their beautiful baby boy!

Jen, Sam, Brenda & Amy!

Happy Saturday, my love muffins! Today’s post is dedicated to 4 lovely ladies that I met today in my favorite store Hobby Lobby! I had the best time ever with them. They were such a blast! Nothing is by coincidence! I feel like God had us meet. We talked about God, and had so many delightful moments that I wish I could put in a box and store. There’s Brenda, the upbeat, fun-tastic mom, who I could just hug and kiss all day! Jen, the shy, yet cool, cute doll, that’s my sister from another mister! Sam, my sophisticated, spunky, diva that has wisdom beyond her years; and Amy, my little funky, fashionable, independent lady!! I loooved them all, They all had their own individual personalities that captivated me! They are my new adopted family!!! I just love them! I shared so many things with them and they shared so many things with me!!!

This scripture is for you Jen!

“The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them,”Psalm 34:7!

Don’t worry Jen!!! Pinky swear, we will conquer our fears!!!
Love you girls to pieces!!!

Woman Work

Today, my post is dedicated to two powerful women. First the beautiful poet Maya Angelou. Second…wait, wait, wait…we will get to that later. Maya Angelou is and always be, my favorite poet. She has a variety of poems that I find just absolutely amazing. Her poems have always left me feeling confident, as if I am a woman who can take on the world. May she rest in peace and be remembered for the lives she touched and the hearts she helped mend. She has truly helped me get through some rough times; with her inspirational words of courage and hope. She is truly a woman whose work will be missed.

Here is one of my favorite poems by the great Maya Angelou. It exemplifies one particular person in my life. Someone I truly love and admire. She does everything with grace and poise; without an attitude or a frown. She is beautiful beyond measures. This poem is dedicated to my big sis Kena. No one knows behind closed doors, how much we do for the ones we adore.

Woman Work

I’ve got the children to tend
The clothes to mend
The floor to mop
The food to shop
Then the chicken to fry
The baby to dry
I got company to feed
The garden to weed
I’ve got shirts to press
The tots to dress
The can to be cut
I gotta clean up this hut
Then see about the sick
And the cotton to pick.

Shine on me, sunshine
Rain on me, rain
Fall softly, dewdrops
And cool my brow again.

Storm, blow me from here
With your fiercest wind
Let me float across the sky
‘Til I can rest again.

Fall gently, snowflakes
Cover me with white
Cold icy kisses and
Let me rest tonight.

Sun, rain, curving sky
Mountain, oceans, leaf and stone
Star shine, moon glow
You’re all that I can call my own.
Maya Angelou

I love you Kena!!!
