Good morning beauties! I remember when I use to eat meat, I use to love this chicken and biscuit sandwich from McDonalds…then they stopped selling it! Although I don’t eat chicken anymore I was inspired yesterday to make my own after going to Dunkin Donuts to get coffee; I noticed they have a little chicken biscuit sandwich of their own! Of course I had to add my own touches! I wanted to share the recipe, especially after yesterday with the whole secret macaroni situation!!!! I had to make up for that!! Here’s how to make it!!!
What you’ll need!!!
1 chicken breast
2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
2 biscuits (the Pillsbury brand preferably)
Preheat your oven on 350.
Season your chicken breast and flour it. Get your skillet hot with olive oil or what ever oil you like to use when cooking. When the skillet is hot, place your seasoned, floured, chicken breast in the skillet.
Your oven should be pre-heated. Place your biscuits in the oven and cook for around 12-15 minutes.
Check your chicken to see if it is cooked. When chicken is cooked place aside.
In another skillet, place about 1/2 tablespoon of butter and let simmer. Crack your first egg and and let it cook, when the first side is finished flip over and add your sharp cheddar cheese let it melt slightly. Take the first egg out and place aside, cook the second egg using the same steps as the first.
By now your biscuits should be done, or cooling…depending on how long everything else took to cook! Cut your biscuits open and slather jelly on each side.
If you want a thick biscuit cut your chicken half way across, if not (like I did, cut down the chicken, making the chicken flat.) So there is good room for the fried egg and cheese. Place your cut chicken on the bottom of the biscuit.
Now place your fried egg and cheese over the cut chicken breast. Top the sandwich with the other half of the biscuit.
Finally…take a bite out of this little delicious wonder!!!!
