Robby’s baseball t-shirt

Hi there friends! Tonight I wanted to share a quick craft project that’s sure to put a smile on the baseball lovers face! This is a little gift for my little
cousin Robert!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/7cc/64511712/files/2014/12/img_8988.jpg

What you’ll need!
White t-shirt
Fabric paint
Paint brushes
Water

Step one
I free handed the baseball on the shirt with red fabric paint. You can trace a baseball print pattern to your shirt if you like.

Step two
Let the baseball pattern dry, this may take like a hour. I like the baseball pattern left alone but for a little personalization I added Robert the All-star! I thought it would be a cute addition to his little sporty shirt. This is completely up to you. This too was free handed but you can buy stencils if you aren’t comfortable.

It’s always nice getting a custom gift! It shows love and thoughtfulness! If you aren’t as crafty as I am that’s ok too!! Remember it’s the thought that counts, people just like to be thought of! Whether it’s a card or call, it doesn’t matter…long as they know they are thought of!

Hope you enjoyed this post!!!

Lollipop bouquet

Happy Friday sweetie pies!!! Hope you have a fun filled Friday! Today, I wanted to share a lollipop bouquet that I made as a gift to my most sweetest and dearest friend! She has been ride or die since we were seven! This bouquet is a token of her sweet dear friendship. We have never fallen out, or lost touched! She is trustworthy, and her friendship means more to me than she’ll ever know! Here’s to you Erica!

What you’ll need!

Styrofoam ball
Flower pot
Newspaper
Glue gun
A bag of your favorite lollipops
Ribbon

Step one
Fill the styrofoam ball up with as many lollipops as you can, make sure you don’t see any styrofoam in-between. Leave the bottom of the ball lollipop free, you need room to glue the styrofoam ball to the pot. You want your bouquet to be beautiful!

Step two
Stuff the flower pot with balled up newspaper. (Add a little glue so the newspaper balls don’t move around.)

Step three
Glue your ball to the newspaper and the pot.

Step four
Tie a pretty ribbon around the pot!

There it is…a sweet gift for the sweetest friend!

Maxi makeover

Oh happy day!!! Have you ever bought an item without trying it on in the store, and you get home to find out that it doesn’t fit properly? I bought a maxi dress and when I got home it was baggy and big. I could have taken it back, but it was only $10 and I figured I could try to fix it! I could turn this baggy 10 buck dress into something sexy and wearable!!! I actually enjoyed the process, knowing that I could change this once un-wearable dress to something that I could wear and feel comfortable in. Well…enough with the small talk…here it is!!!

Tiffany & Co. baby basket

It’s Monday, the start of a fresh week! Let’s be productive, prayerful and positive in all we do! Today, I wanted to share a baby basket that I did over the weekend for a friend of my husband and I. The theme of the baby shower was Tiffany & Co. I had no other choice but to try and do something Tiffany inspired! I chose to do a basket filled with baby essentials that I knew the mommy will need.

Image

A basket filled with goodies is such a great gift. You can personalize a basket in any way you wish! That’s what makes gift baskets so fun. I stuffed the basket with white tissue paper, added the baby essentials and wrapped the basket with Tiffany blue fabric/tuelle then wrapped it with lovely white ribbon.

Here’s the finished product!

Memory Box

Happy Sunday my loves! Today I wanted to share a memory box I did to store some of my daughter’s keepsakes. I decided to this when I noticed I was starting a little collection of things that I felt were extremely precious to me. I didn’t do a step by step tutorial because I really feel with something as personalized as this, the sky is the limit you can use so many things to create a memory box! I’ll show you some of the supplies I used to help you get started if want to create your own.

What you’ll need to get started!!!

Image

Blank cardboard box

Pictures

Scrapbook pieces

Mod Podge

Sponge or paint brush

Glue gun

Keepsake items

Of course there are a few more keepsake items I am going to use, but this picture is to give you an idea of some items that I placed in the box.

I will fill out the card later, I wanted to leave it blank so you could see how creative you could get with your box, something as personal as this adds such a cute touch to something so special.

Image

I added pink lace trim because we all know that anything that’s pink with lace is all girl!!

Image

I only used pictures from the hospital and her first day home….I am mainly using this box for hospital keepsakes and special newborn things that I have an emotional attachment to!

Image

I saved one of my daughter’s birth announcements and this added an additional momentous touch.
Image
I through a sonogram picture in, her first picture ever!!!

Image

Here’s a few of the things that I hold dear to my heart and could never let go!!!

Image

I really hope you attempt to make your own memory box for those special things that you treasure!!! When and if you do please share them with me!!! I would love to see what you beautiful crafters put together.

Cake Pops

What’s up all my sweet treat lovers. Today, I wanted to show you how to make cake pops. They are so good and cute. It’s like a lollipop except it’s cake on a stick. You can bite into it or eat it whole. It’s such an adorable treat for kids birthday parties or just to do at home for yourself, family or friends!

Image

What you’ll need!

Prepared cake mix your choice of flavor (I used Duncan Hines)
Frosting your choice
2 bags of milk chocolate, white chocolate or candy melts
Cake pop sticks
Sprinkles
Wax paper

Directions

Step 1

Follow the cake mix instructions, prepare cake as you usually would.

Step 2

Let the cake cool, add the cake to a large bowl. Crumble the cake until you have crumbs.

Step 3

Add a spoonful of your frosting; mix gently, then add a second spoonful. Use your hands to mix the frosting and the cake crumbs. It should have a playdough consistency.

Step 4

Use a tablespoon measuring spoon to form your balls. I scooped the cake mixture with the measuring spoon and formed the balls using my hands.

Step 5

Roll the wax paper onto a cookie sheet, and form your balls. Place each ball on the wax papered cookie sheet.

Step 6

Melt 4 ounces of your white chocolate, milk chocolate or candy melts in the microwave.

Step 7

Dip the tip of the cake pop sticks into the white chocolate, milk chocolate or candy melts; Stick into the prepared cake balls about half-way.

Step 8

Place in the refrigerator for about 40 minutes or the freezer for 15 minutes.

Step 9

Melt the rest of the white chocolate, milk chocolate or candy melts in another large bowl. Making sure there is enough to dip each cake ball in to coat all around.

Step 10

Take your cake balls out of the refrigerator or freezer. Dip each cake in the melted candy, making sure you coat it completely. Let the excess melted candy fall off, gently swirling the cake pop while it drips.

Step 11

Over a plate add your sprinkles to your cake pops.

Step 12

Stick the completed cake pops into a box (with prepared holes) or a styrofoam square.

Step 13

Put the finished cake pops in the freezer for around 10 minutes to let harden.

Once your 10 minutes is up, you can take those cake pops out and serve!!!

12 step makeover tee

Good evening cutie pies!!! Today, I was inspired by the lovely weather to make over this neon pink shirt that I bought just for the color!!! So, here’s a 12 step tutorial step by step on how to spruce up a drab tee.
Before…

Image

 Step 1

Cut the sleeves off each side.

Image

Image

Saving 1 of the cut off sleeves, (you will see why later in the project).

Image

Step 2

Starting from the bottom of the sleeve, measure across a inch and pin down to the end of the shirt.

Image

Step 3

Sew down.

Image

Image

Step 4

Cut the access fabric off…it’s your choice if you want to serge or zig-zag stitch the sides. I chose to use pinking sheers, much quicker for the project!

Image

Step 5

Fold the shirt in half down the back.

Image

 Step 6

Cut about a 5-6 inch slits across the back, you are going to do this 7 times they should be around 2.5 inches apart.

Image

Image

(The picture shows 6 slits add one more…)

Image

It should look like this…

Image

 Step 7

Pin two of the slit sections together in the middle. You should have a total of three.

Image

 Step 8

Here is where you are going to use the saved sleeve. Cut three stripes.

Image

 Step 9

Take the stripes and place under the pinned slits. Fold over and sew.

Image

Image

Image

 Step 10

Cut the excess fabric off. Turn over the sewn fabric, so you can’t see the sewn edges.

Image

Your shirt should look like this.

Image

 Step 11

Cut the collar off your shirt.

Image

 Step 12

This is optional, cut a few slits in the front of your shirt.

SLITSHOT

Finally, your 12 step makeover tee is finished…I scrunched the sleeves on the second pic to show a little versatility.

Love mugs

Happy Monday love bugs!!! Today I decided to do love mugs!! I was inspired to do this after seeing so many all across the internet, this project was swarming all over. I wanted to see if i could create a set for me and my hubby. So, I had to try it so I could share my experience with you. I came up with my own little quotes and my own little touches to make this D.I.Y. project my own!

Before

Image

After

Image

What you’ll need!

Porcelain mug or mugs (depending on how many you want to make).

Sharpie markers (regular or oil based) (your choice of colors).

Pencil

Alcohol and paper towels

Let’s Get Started!!!

 Step 1

Wash your mugs and dry them.

Step 2

What is it that you want to write on your mug? I drew mine free hand, you might want to draw your design or words with a pencil first, this is completely up to you.

Step 3

After you’ve figured out your design, trace with the marker neatly. If you mess up you can use your paper towel and alcohol to wipe the error off and re-do.

Step 4

Preheat your oven to 350, and bake the mug/mugs for twenty minutes

Step 5

When mug/mugs have baked take them out of the oven and let them cool.

Now, you can finally put your favorite tea or coffee in your custom mug and show it off!
Note: Handwash gently (Do not use dishwasher)

Image

Me and my husband added a heart and our signature on one another’s cup to add that special touch!

Image

Try these love mugs or just a personal mug for yourself and let me know about it!!!

“Diamonds are a pearls best friend,” revamped sweatshirt!

It’s Wednesday my loves, and luckily I had enough energy to revamp this sweatshirt I’ve been holding on to for three months! Originally, I wanted to rip and dye it, but I thought this idea was much cuter. I call it Diamonds are a pearls best friend,” revamped sweatshirt!! I love pearls next to diamonds, real or fake. It just looks so classic and simplistic.

 (From Drab)

Image

 (To Fab)

Image

The ideas for this revamped sweatshirt are endless…you can rock this with jeans and flats, or you can wear a cute pleated skirt with pumps!

Image

All you need are some pearl stud earrings, and a simple pearl ring and go on your way!

Image

I left the back simple, you can wear your hair down with a cute white or navy headband for that sexy school girl look, or even a side pony if your going with a simpler approach!

Image

The cut out sleeves were just an added touch, to give this recently drab sweatshirt some flare!

Note: This was a men’s sweatshirt, I altered it to fit me. I can revamp just about anything! Remember, if you want anything custom-made feel free to message me.

Hope you enjoyed the sweatshirt remix! Don’t forget, every girl looks good in pearls!!!
