Pop Rocks and sour gummy worms cupcakes!!

Happy Tuesday beautiful people!! As some of you know I am a kid at heart! That’s why I was so excited when God blessed me with my baby girl. I can re-live childhood favorites with her. Today, I was inspired by an all time favorite, Pop Rocks and sour gummy worms. I wondered how I could take those two fun candies and incorporate them someway, somehow into some cupcakes. It’s awfully simple. I just bought a confetti cake mix and cotton candy frosting, topped the cupcakes with the Pop Rocks and sour gummy worms. Now, if you aren’t a sweet lover these aren’t for you!!! They are extremely sweet!!! They will definitely give a fun sugar rush. So, all you have to do is follow the basic cake box recipe for cupcakes and frost them. You can even get a little creative and change the cake mix and frosting to your preference.

Yum,Yum in my ,Tum, Tum!!!

half white chocolate sprinkled Oreos

Happy glorious Friday! “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it,” Psalm 118:24! Today is going to be such a wonderful day for us!!! Can’t you feel it??? Today, I wanted to do something fun, something that you can try with your kids, alone, or maybe with friends. It’s fun, it’s festive, and it’s simple! They’re my half white chocolate sprinkled Oreos! Half you ask!? Yes half! For that person who can’t decide on a regular or a white chocolate sprinkled Oreo; they are getting the best of both worlds. You can bite into the white chocolate sprinkled side first, and then the other side after. Okay, okay…here they are!

Image

What you’ll need!

Oreos, as many or as few as you would like

1 bag of white chocolate morsels

Sprinkles

Wax paper

Step One

Decide how many Oreos you want! I made about ten. Place the amount you want to make on a clean dry plate. Pull out enough wax paper where you can space your Oreos where they aren’t touching when you dip them.

Step Two

Pour a sufficient amount of sprinkles in a bowl, if there isn’t enough when it’s time for dipping after the Oreos are half covered in white chocolate, you can always add more.

Step Three

I used about 2 1/2 cups of white chocolate morsels to dip the Oreos in. Place the morsels in another bowl that can be heated in the microwave, or if you want to use the stove this is completely up to you. I used the microwave for this project. Heat your morsels for 30 seconds first, stir with a spoon, then heat for another 30 seconds, stir again. Your morsels should have a creaming consistency. If not heat for another 20 seconds and stir once more.

Step Four

Dip half of the first Oreo in the white chocolate, gently letting the excess chocolate drip off; then dip the half covered Oreo in the sprinkles. Place the finished Oreo on the wax paper. Continue to do this until all your Oreos are half covered in white chocolate morsels and sprinkles. (Make sure your Oreos aren’t touching)!

Step Five

Put your half covered Oreos in the refrigerator for about ten minutes. Then they should be done!

Now…take those colorful babies out and take your first bite!

Try these they are deliciously fun!!!

Sweet potato pancakes

Happy Friday, I’ve been trying to blog all day! My charger isn’t working for my computer so here I am blogging from my phone! Today I wanted to give you a tasty recipe that you could possibly try this weekend! I have to say, it’s soooo yummy! It’s my sweet potato pancakes! This is probably one of my favorite pancake makeovers I’ve ever made! So here it is…

What you’ll need!

Note: recipe should make about 6 pancakes
1 cup of bisquick
1/2 cup of milk
1 egg
1 cooked unpeeled sweet potato
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of pecans halves for garnish

Directions

Adding the sweet potato last, mix the other ingredients together. Make sure the sweet potato is cooked at a creamy consistency, then add it to the mixture slowly. Get your skillet hot and ready. (I like to use a little less than a tablespoon of butter). Pour about 1/4 cupfuls of the pancake batter into the skillet. Cook until each side is golden brown!

Now, add some syrup, sprinkle a little cinnamon and the pecan halves for taste! I hope you try these yummy pancakes! They are a sure way to make your belly smile:)

Yo Baby Yogurt pops!

It is such a beautiful day, well at least in my neighborhood! The weather today led me to this brisk cool treat. It’s great for your baby or toddler; and can be a snack for you as well if you’re a yogurt fan and want to alter this with your favorite yogurt. It’s my Yo Baby Yogurt pops! I’ve done this numerous times and it’s a hit with my daughter (especially with her teething). It helps with so many of her teething symptoms. This treat is extremely healthy and yummy. It is a great alternative for the mommies who don’t want those sugary popsicles in there child’s diets. Okay, before we get started I would like to give you a few benefits of yogurt!

Yogurt…

  • improves eczema in (children and adults).
  • improves dental health in (children and adults).
  • fights against yeast infections in (women).
  • aIds in constipation in (children and adults).
  • helps with diarrhea in (children and adults).
  • improves cholesterol in (children and adults).
  • prevents osteoporosis in (adults).
  • protects against ulcers in (children and adults).
  • is a great grow food, because it is filled with protein and calcium for (babies and children).
  • it is easy to digest for (children and adults).
  • is great for the teething baby; because it soothes their gums, aids in proper development of their teeth and helps with diarrhea.
Ok let’s get started!
What you’ll need!

Yo Baby Yogurt (or your choice of yogurt)

Popsicle mold

Spoon

 Fill those babies up!

Depending on how many of the popsicle molds you want to fill and the size of the actual mold (is what determines how much yogurt you’ll need), I used about 3/4 of the yogurt in each mold. Fill each mold to the top leaving a little room so the yogurt doesn’t gush out when you put the stick in. Place your yogurt pops in the freezer for about 1.5 to two hours; by then the pops should be ready to eat!

These are great for days you want to kill two birds with one stone, (getting nutrients and a tasty treat) in one!

I used blueberry and apple Yo Baby Yogurt …

This is a treat that can’t be beat!

Note: These were made specifically for my daughter, so I used Yo Baby Yogurt which is best suited for her stomach. You can use you or your child’s yogurt of choice.

Bet you’ll love em’, let me know if and when you try these healthy great tasting yogurt pops!!!
