half white chocolate sprinkled Oreos

Happy glorious Friday! “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it,” Psalm 118:24! Today is going to be such a wonderful day for us!!! Can’t you feel it??? Today, I wanted to do something fun, something that you can try with your kids, alone, or maybe with friends. It’s fun, it’s festive, and it’s simple! They’re my half white chocolate sprinkled Oreos! Half you ask!? Yes half! For that person who can’t decide on a regular or a white chocolate sprinkled Oreo; they are getting the best of both worlds. You can bite into the white chocolate sprinkled side first, and then the other side after. Okay, okay…here they are!

Image

What you’ll need!

Oreos, as many or as few as you would like

1 bag of white chocolate morsels

Sprinkles

Wax paper

Step One

Decide how many Oreos you want! I made about ten. Place the amount you want to make on a clean dry plate. Pull out enough wax paper where you can space your Oreos where they aren’t touching when you dip them.

Step Two

Pour a sufficient amount of sprinkles in a bowl, if there isn’t enough when it’s time for dipping after the Oreos are half covered in white chocolate, you can always add more.

Step Three

I used about 2 1/2 cups of white chocolate morsels to dip the Oreos in. Place the morsels in another bowl that can be heated in the microwave, or if you want to use the stove this is completely up to you. I used the microwave for this project. Heat your morsels for 30 seconds first, stir with a spoon, then heat for another 30 seconds, stir again. Your morsels should have a creaming consistency. If not heat for another 20 seconds and stir once more.

Step Four

Dip half of the first Oreo in the white chocolate, gently letting the excess chocolate drip off; then dip the half covered Oreo in the sprinkles. Place the finished Oreo on the wax paper. Continue to do this until all your Oreos are half covered in white chocolate morsels and sprinkles. (Make sure your Oreos aren’t touching)!

Step Five

Put your half covered Oreos in the refrigerator for about ten minutes. Then they should be done!

Now…take those colorful babies out and take your first bite!

Try these they are deliciously fun!!!

What you’ll need!

Note: recipe should make about 6 pancakes
1 cup of bisquick
1/2 cup of milk
1 egg
1 cooked unpeeled sweet potato
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of pecans halves for garnish

Directions

Adding the sweet potato last, mix the other ingredients together. Make sure the sweet potato is cooked at a creamy consistency, then add it to the mixture slowly. Get your skillet hot and ready. (I like to use a little less than a tablespoon of butter). Pour about 1/4 cupfuls of the pancake batter into the skillet. Cook until each side is golden brown!

Now, add some syrup, sprinkle a little cinnamon and the pecan halves for taste! I hope you try these yummy pancakes! They are a sure way to make your belly smile:)

Simple fix, budget friendly, stir fry

Happy Friday, my food lovers. Today I am going to give you a simple fix, budget friendly stir fry that takes around 25 minutes to cook and cost under $15! So, if you’re in the mood for Asian, and don’t feel like ordering out, here’s something quick that will leave your pockets full and your taste buds happy.

What you’ll need!

Note: This recipe feeds about 6

Frozen stir fry vegetables

Stir fry rice noodles

Teriyaki sauce

Chicken breast (with 2-3 pieces)

Let’s get started!

Step 1

Image

Season your chicken to your liking. Get your skillet ready to cook your seasoned chicken. I used a little olive oil to cook my chicken breast in. You can use vegetable oil or any other oil that you prefer to cook with. Make sure your skillet is hot, cook chicken until done. Put your cooked chicken aside.

Step 2

Boil your water for the rice noodles.

Place your noodles in the boiling water and cook until complete. Drain your noodles and put aside.

 Step 3

Put about 3/4 tablespoon spoon of olive oil in your wok. Let the olive oil get hot and put your bag of stir fry veggies in, season to your liking. Cook until tender.

Step 4

In your wok where your cooked veggies are mix the rice noodles in. Make sure you mix them in not smashing the rice noodles. I like to use a salad tosser.

Step 5

Image

Pour a cup of the teriyaki sauce in the wok with the veggies and noodles, making sure you coat the stir fry all the way through.

Step 6

Slice your chicken as thin or thick as you like.

Step 7

Image

Take a 1/2 cup of the teriyaki sauce and toss in the sliced chicken. Coating every piece. I like to use my hands for this step (wash your hands throughly of course).

Finally your going to plate this quick masterpiece. I plated the noodles and veggies first. Placing the sliced chicken on top.

Walah….

What you’ll need!

Porcelain mug or mugs (depending on how many you want to make).

Sharpie markers (regular or oil based) (your choice of colors).

Pencil

Alcohol and paper towels

Let’s Get Started!!!

 Step 1

Wash your mugs and dry them.

Step 2

What is it that you want to write on your mug? I drew mine free hand, you might want to draw your design or words with a pencil first, this is completely up to you.

Step 3

After you’ve figured out your design, trace with the marker neatly. If you mess up you can use your paper towel and alcohol to wipe the error off and re-do.

Step 4

Preheat your oven to 350, and bake the mug/mugs for twenty minutes

Step 5

When mug/mugs have baked take them out of the oven and let them cool.

Now, you can finally put your favorite tea or coffee in your custom mug and show it off!
Note: Handwash gently (Do not use dishwasher)

Image

Me and my husband added a heart and our signature on one another’s cup to add that special touch!

Try these love mugs or just a personal mug for yourself and let me know about it!!!
